Can I take a holiday during an apprenticeship?

Your training is part of your work and is underpinned by your job contract. Therefore, your employer still handles things such as holiday under normal employment law. You should inform your trainer that you will be away and they can instruct you as to how to make up for lost time. There may be more specific conditions for attendance in certain courses therefore it is your duty to be aware of these before signing the committing to the respective course.

All jobs can continue during an apprenticeship but preparations are necessary at times. We advise that you voice all your needs as early as possible, so that required adaptations in training schedule/format can be discussed.
