Employers who hire a new apprentice between 1 August 2020 and 31 March 2021 can claim financial incentives from the government.
This is to help businesses and the economy recover from the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
You receive £2,000 for apprentices aged 16-24
You receive £1,500 for apprentices aged 25 and over
You also receive a further £1,000 for an apprentice aged 16-18.
This means that an apprentice who starts training before age 19 totals a £3,000 cash incentive.
Read in more depth about this in our article: Unprecedented £3,000 limited time cash incentive for apprenticeship training
